Venues
The Šibenik Dance Festival offers an extraordinary blend of historical charm and artistic innovation, hosting performances in some of the city’s most iconic and unique venues. Each location provides a breathtaking setting that enhances the magic of dance, making every performance an unforgettable experience.
St. Michael’s Fortress
A magnificent medieval stronghold, St. Michael’s Fortress boasts an open-air auditorium with 1,100 seats. Perched high above Šibenik, it provides breathtaking views and serves as the grand centerpiece for the festival’s most awe-inspiring performances.
Barone Fortres
For a more intimate setting, Barone Fortress offers approximately 150 seats, creating a personal connection between performers and the audience. This 15th-century stronghold, rich in history, adds depth to the festival’s small-scale projects and contemporary pieces.
Azimut
Situated in the historic Wells of Šibenik, Azimut is a cultural hub blending alternative art and medieval charm. This underground venue hosts performances and installations, adding a unique, avant-garde dimension to the festival.
Arsen House of Art
It is a place where various forms of culture, art, and creative work are developed and from where they spread, open to the Šibenik cultural scene and to all artists, creators, and creatives from both the country and abroad.
During the ŠDF, dance troupes that require an enclosed space due to their theme or special effects perform at Arsen House of Art. It is also the venue for press conferences and panel discussions.
