This performance is a tribute to Davorka Čorko-Rodeš, the founder of Plesni studio Vindi, who left us too soon. A series of dance miniatures and original choreographies, from solos to group formations, tells the story of the beauty of movement, the joy of diversity and the strength of the community she built. Through different formations and styles, the dancers explore movement that is truly their own: movement that brings joy, connects and shapes. Movement, just as she taught them.
Plesni studio Vindi has been based in Varaždin since 1995, working with children and young people aged 4 to 18 in the field of contemporary dance. Each year, the studio produces a full winter production and organises Plesokaz, a contemporary dance festival for children and young people from Varaždin and beyond. The studio’s work is rooted in the vision and methodologies of its founder, a pioneer of contemporary dance in Varaždin. Today, over 150 dancers continue that legacy under the guidance of Sanja Sabljak, Hedera Perhaj, Jana Jozić and Lorena Burek.
