“In these heartbreaking times of wars, climate changes and related disasters, with the massive challenges before us all, the artists continue to carry a tremendous power of uniting people, to inspire with creative solutions, empowering those who lack hope.
Me, my associates, every person involved, are generously giving the time and resources to make this happen. We are grateful for the amazing collaboration with our co-organizer – The Fortress of Culture Šibenik, for the support of the City of Šibenik, our loyal sponsors as well as our dedicated and passionate creative team.
This is a unique performing arts festival. Not many world festivals showcase the program at such an amazing place on Earth, at such outstanding venues, giving equal chances to all dancers, professionals and young emerging artists. And yet, it’s incredibly hard work – enormously costly to be here, to organise these spaces for the artists to perform, to make their stay enjoyable and to promote their performance, to make the dancer’s name stand out in the rainforests of trivial information we are choking on.
A festival of this size and prestige is sure to catch the attention not only of dance professionals but of people outside of the dance community as well. The part of its purpose is definitely to promote dance and connect dancers within the industry. On top of the performances at the amazing venues, there are classes and workshops aimed at professional dancers or dance lovers of all ages and abilities.

Director: Zorana Mihelčić
A multifaceted festival director, one of the creators of Šibenik art and culture scene. With her determination and energy she has largely contributed to making Šibenik an attractive cultural destination, a cosmopolitan place, a festival city with fortresses as stages. Zorana is the artistic and executive director of the Šibenik Dance Festival, a prestigious festival of contemporary dance.
Krešimira Rendulić, Communications and PR
Public relations specialist. Member of the Croatian Association for Public Relations.She graduated in journalism at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Zagreb, with the postgraduate degree of marketing management. For more than 12 years, she worked at Croatian radio and television and collaborated with a number of magazines and television in parallel, but in 2008 she made a turn in her career, decided to become an independent public relations manager and founded the Prorsus communication agency. In addition to dealing with public relations strategically and operationally, Krešimira gives lectures and writes professionally related content about PR career and entrepreneurship in the field.
Since 2018, she has been the head of communication and public relations at the Šibenik Dance Festival

Tomislav Rupić, Video design
Tomislav is a multimedia artist with more than 17 years of a very prolific professional experience in the field of music production, sound recording, video editing and 2D/3D animation. The range of his interests, skills and professional projects – is impressive. From an early age, he showed an interest in computer technology. In 2005, he was employed at Digital Film d.o.o. as the leading video editor. Until 2014, the editing department he was in charge, produced a large number of ads and commercials as well as award-winning films and documentaries. He founded the Pixel Records company and today works as a freelancer on numerous audio/video projects.
He joined the Šibenik Dance Festival team in 2012.

Ante Filipović Grčić, Visual identity
Graduated at the Textile and Technology Faculty of the University of Zagreb, majoring in Textile and Clothing Design. In spite of having a fashion designer diploma, Ante has always worked as a graphic designer. In 2012, he founded 2FG STUDIO. In addition to graphic design, he is also a product designer. He is a multiple award-winning member of the Croatian Design Society. He lives and creates in Šibenik. He joined the Šibenik Dance Festival team in 2012 and since then has been the irreplaceable and widely recognized author of the festival visual identity.

Marijana Nikolić, assistant director of the festival
Born in Šibenik on May 17, 1980. years. Graduated biology and chemistry at the Faculty of Science and Mathematics in Zagreb. She returned to Šibenik and started working as a chemistry professor at the Medical School. Today she still works as biology and chemistry teacher at the Šibenik Vocational High School. Marijana joined the SDF team in 2017 as the festival director assistant and head of administration.

Frane Celić
Employed at Croatian national theatre Šibenik as head of the technical department. In 2020, he graduated “Design for Theatre, Film and Multimedia” at the Academy of Arts and Culture of the University of Osijek. He continued his after-graduate studies in “Scenography for Theatre, Film and Multimedia”. He has been the Šibenik Dance Festival head of technical department since 2011.
