THE SENSITIVE CHAOS
The overwhelming scenery from a civilized woman that thinks she has everything under control to the wild and primitive animal impulse struggling to come out. The body as a database, dance as overflow, feats that feed the states and states that overflow into acrobatics. The body is a landscape where human complexity emerges, a mixture of our inherited cultural and moral side, and our wild and free animal instincts. This work tries to put in evidence the social dichotomy that is generated within ourselves between impulses, emotions, desires, and what is expressed to the outside filtered with “masks”: the social image of how “we should behave or not”, showing ourselves towards the external world. A round trip between play and survival, authority and chaos, thus displaying a range of events that oscillate between the stereotype of an office woman, until the unleashing of the beast, where the body increasingly finds a way to his liberation.
Ironically this puts in evidence the delusional but yet human idea of trying to control the uncontrollable. We will even laugh at her exaggerated efforts touching the limits of the ridiculous and tragicomic.
FLORENCE BUZZO BIOGRAPHY:
She was born in Buenos Aires, she began her studies in Aikido, Contemporary Dance, Artistic Gymnastics and Acrobatics since her adolescence. She trained and received in the career of Circus and Performing Arts of the U.N.S.A.M. (National University of San Martin, Argentina.) Then she graduated in France in her second professional career at the Ecole Superieure des Arts du Cirque Ésacto’Lido, Toulouse. She collaborated with various choreographers and worked as a co-creator in various shows, companies and festivals in South America and Europe. In 2020 she joins the Lotte Muller company supported by the Hellerau-Europäisches Zentrum der Künste Dresden, Germany. She also worked as director and performer of her own solo “Todo Bajo control” performing at the Festival du cirque actual CIRCA Auch, Festival d’Avignon, La Grainerie,Théâtre Garonne, Théâtre Du Grand Rond Toulouse, The Vortex Dance Festival Bretagne, Pirineos en Danza Spain.On the other hand, in 2017 she created and gives name to the Flow Force technique as a synthesis of more than 20 years of research on the body and movement, with which she is currently teaching, giving Workshops and retreats in France, Spain, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil.
