Three women are enclosed in the small symbolic space between three chairs, looking for a way to break free from their fears and alienation. The work examines the repeatability in relationships between people when they have been caught in a trap. Can the cycle be interrupted, and what are the questions, which answers are being searched through the movement. At a time when millions of people were in a “trap” due to circumstances beyond our control, the miniature explores problems, the consequences of which are yet to be seen. Placed in constant physical contact with each other, the dancers explore the relationships between people through looped and repetitive movements.
“LOOP is a dance piece that seamlessly blends drama, intense expression, and suspense, all interwoven into a thoughtful fusion of acrobatic dance movement and contact improvisation. The dancers seamlessly transitioned between moments of delicate vulnerability to bursts of physical power. With this work, the ATOM Dance Company transcends the boundaries of movement and challenges perceptions of contemporary dance. The Company’s choreographer and creative director Stefaniya Georgieva, has a unique voice in the dance world and promises to continue pushing the boundaries of her creativity, leaving us eagerly anticipating her future endeavors.” (Z. Mihelčić, Šibenik Dance Festival director)
